About Scott

Scott Paeth is a Chicago-based drummer and teacher.. He grew up in Connecticut and started playing drums in junior high school. He attended the Berklee College of Music Summer Performance Program, and has performed in concert, marching, jazz, and rock bands since he was 16. 

He graduated from Central Connecticut State University. in 1993. Since 2004 he has lived and worked in Chicago.

Scott is the former drummer for Wht.Rbbt.Obj, Their first studio single, "Jolene's Reply," received fantastic press highlighted by the NPR show Sound Opinions who described the song as "Roadhouse Raunch" and said it "Swings like a wrecking ball" and has the "dirtiest groove" they have heard in a long time. Wht.Rbbt.Obj. received the Critics Choice Award for Music and Performance at the 2022 Richmond International Film Festival.

From 2014 to 2022 Scott was the drummer for the Chicago-based indie rock band The Bannermen. Their first album was released in 2019. He has also drummed for R&B artist Dre Hilton, The Voice's Austin Giorgio, and Chicago based rocker Tim Gainer. He also does freelance recording and studio work.

Scott has experience across multiple genres of music, and can play and teach classical, rock, jazz, funk, latin and numerous other styles of music.  He is a Drumeo.com approved instructor. He is available for gigs and private lessons.
